CMH Nissan Ballito has taken pleasure to take part in Feeding the Wildlife Communities Sponsorship. And what a opportunity to have loaned our NEW Nissan Navara to have been a part of this adventure.

We have received a Letter of Thanks from the DOMORE FOUNDATION – in Feeding the Wildlife Communities.

Dear Stuart and the team at CMH NISSAN Ballito,

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks for the recent loan of the amazing Nissan Navara.

In May last year, as the hard lock down began to cause food shortages around the country, a small team of dedicated individuals started a program called “Feeding the Wildlife Communities.” This started with the team purchasing tons of nutritional porridge in Potchefstroom and then transporting and distributing it to the communities living adjacent to the wildlife reserves in Northern KZN.

During the course of last year and throughout this year, the program has grown from strength to strength and in certain areas it has been woven into a nutritional awareness campaign targeted at ECD centres. A foundation called the DOMORE foundation has been providing porridge (free of charge) to the teams in the field for distribution and in this last trip, the milestone of 1.5 million meals distributed was surpassed.

The meals are delivered to mothers with young children through an incredibly structured system facilitated by local team members based in the area.

As the flow of porridge has increased, so too has the logistics component of transporting, storing and then delivering the product.

Spar has been incredibly generous in allowing us the use of depots close to the target areas and it’s from there that we pick up for final distribution to the creches.

That last leg requires multiple 4×4 vehicles driven by volunteers and the use of your Nissan Navara made a huge difference on this trip.
