Nissan South Africa has again outdone itself with the new Nissan Navara Single Cab, which is sure to take the market by storm. The Nissan NP300 was previously produced at the Rosslyn Plant in Pretoria. It has been replaced by the Nissan Navara Single Cab. It provides comfort as well as ruggedness to carry out heavy-duty tasks. There are 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains available with manual transmissions.
Unfortunately, no automatic transmissions are available in the single cab model. Standard features on the Navara XE single cab include halogen headlamps, PVC seat upholstery, electrically adjustable door mirrors, two airbags and one 12V outlet. Its naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine delivers 118 kW of power and 223 Nm of torque via a six-speed manual transmission. It is capable of carrying a load of 1 065 kg. The 2.5 turbodiesel engine delivers 120 kW of power and 403 Nm of torque! And it can carry a workload of 1 144 kg.
The XE petrol is priced at R316 700, and the turbodiesel is priced at R355 700. However, CMH Nissan Sandton is currently running a special on the Demo and New Nissan Navara single cabs. The price for a petrol XE is R309 990 and R349 990 for the turbodiesel. There is also the SE which is available in 4×2 at R430 700 and 4×4 priced at R496 700.
As standard, it comes with fabric seats, electric windows, USB port, additional 12V socket, remote central locking, audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, multifunction steering wheel, side and curtain airbags and an array of safety systems such as brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, trailer stability assist, and hill start assist. The 4×4 model gets hill descent control. The 4×2 can carry a load of 1 132 kg while the 4×4 can carry a workload of 1 119 kg.
